The rotary drum washer is custom-engineered for raw material cleansing and purification in starch production lines, purpose-built specifically for the processing routines of potato, cassava and sweet potato starch manufacturing.
This specialized cleaning apparatus operates on a countercurrent washing principle. Raw feedstock advances steadily from the inlet to the discharge end along the spiral ribs inside the drum, while the washing water in the tank circulates in the reverse direction. This design generates robust relative displacement between the material and water, which effectively eradicates sand grains, muddy deposits and other surface contaminants from the tubers.
